YOUR JOURNEY STARTS HERE
College; it's one of life's most important milestones. By yourself, the journey ahead can be exciting, but also filled with uncertainty, anxiety, and unexpected difficulties. So travel with us. Here at Asian Merit, we've worked with hundreds of students and helped them get admitted into the very best of America's universities. We're here for you, to guide you, every step of the way.
Do I even need Asian Merit?
Chinese and Chinese-American students tend to have great grades and SAT scores, and this combined with some typical Asian extracurricular activities and sports makes them think that they have a great shot at top schools. Yet 90% end up disappointed, finding out that despite all the merit they demonstrate, they are getting passed over for other students with less merit.
The #1 problem plaguing Chinese applicants is an abundance of hard power, but terribly inadequate soft power. All AP classes with great grades and SAT scores, and being captain of the math and science team and winning all these piano and violin competitions isn't enough when all the other Asian applicants are doing the same thing. You need to truly stand out from the thousands of other over-qualified Asian applicants.
And this is where Asian Merit comes in.
What exactly can Asian Merit do for me?
Conduct extensive interviews with students to help them discover what they're truly gifted at.
Meet with the student and their family to come up with a custom-tailored extracurricular plan that is reasonable for the family to implement.
Work directly with the student to filter out which extracurricular activities are the best suited to the student's unique gifts, while also being the most attractive to the top schools that they're aiming for.
With with the student to strategize how to demonstrate leadership by founding and building their own clubs, and building these clubs to a substantial size.
Develop unique strategies with the student for finding the best possible authority figures who can appreciate the student the most, provide the most persuasive recommendation letters.
Conduct strategy sessions with the student to figure out how to plan club meetings, deliver charismatic speeches, and conduct fundraisers in order to scale your passion projects.
Provide feedback for each club meeting or extracurricular activity so as to help the student grow, and make each club meeting better and better, in order to attract more publicity, as well as more followers.
Provide custom-tailored tips for students who need help with academic subjects and SATs, giving them the most efficient advice to raise these hard stats in the shortest amount of time.
Conduct brainstorming sessions with the student so that they can have the best ideas for their essays, considering that essays are an absolutely critical component of college admissions, especially for Asians who are notorious for demonstrating a lack of soft power, essays often make it or break it.
Work with students to thoroughly revise and polish all of their essays to perfection, with this being the decisive factor to win over admissions officers and allow Chinese students to get into top schools that they never even dreamed of being able to get into in the first place.
